Tyumen is the first Siberian city with a rich history and culture. Quite a lot of ancient religious sites have survived in Tyumen; most of the buildings were able to survive the Soviet era and were returned to parishioners. There are dozens of architectural monuments registered in the city, 7 of them are Orthodox churches of the 18th - 19th centuries. They are characterized by the Siberian Baroque style - white stone walls, richly decorated with decor, and golden domes.
In the late 90s - early 2000s, a revival of religious life took place in Tyumen, as well as throughout the country. Restoration and construction began. New spiritual centers transform the city outwardly and fill it spiritually.
