For centuries, Asakusa has been the main entertainment suburb of Tokyo. During the Second World War, the area was heavily bombed, so many buildings were destroyed. What to see in the Asakusa area

The main attraction of the Asakusa area is the Buddhist Senso-ji Temple, which was built in the 7th century. There are large Kaminarimon gate - the main symbol of the old part of Tokyo. It is interesting to see other Japanese shrines - the temples of Asakusa and Dempoin. The entrance is free everywhere.

Sensoji Temple is adjoined by a bustling trade highway Nakamise, where more than fifty shops with Japanese delicacies and souvenirs are open. Goes perpendicularly Shin-Nakamise Street, which sells curious antiques and restaurants. One more Kappabashi street created for those who are dedicated to the restaurant business. The stores display furniture, food and drink models, signs and cook uniforms.
