How much is Turkey worth in September 2021? Does it make sense to plan a vacation in the fall, and if so, where is it better to rest? We have collected all the popular questions about September Turkey and gave detailed answers.

Greetings from us from September Turkey - 2020 🙂

Turkey is loved for inexpensive resorts, where it has been warm since May, visa-free and all-inclusive, and at the same time they hate crowds of compatriots for queuing for food in hotels. But such disadvantages can be minimized by choosing the right time to visit, for example, planning a vacation in Turkey in September.

The beaches are freer, the sun is softer, the sea is as warm as in summer, and prices are lower. And if you have to rely on someone's word with the first three points, then you should make sure of the last one yourself.

Weather in Turkey in September

Mediterranean Sea: the weather in Turkey in September is conducive to long walks along the coast and long splashing in the water; average air temperature + 30 ° C. Surprisingly unaware, Turkey in early September does not differ a degree from August - the hottest and most sticky-humid month.

More or less cool evenings (+ 26 ° C ... + 28 ° C) come only towards the middle, while in the afternoon it is still + 30 ° C, but it is easier to tolerate. An exception is Kemer, because of the mountains, the air temperature drops faster from the second half of the month (+ 25 ° C ... + 27 ° C during the day).

At the end of September, he comes - the one whom everyone is waiting for - the velvet season. Cheap, warm and without children's cries 🙂 The degrees of sea and air are compared, and the weather feels very comfortable.

Aegean Sea: in Bodrum and Marmaris, where not the velvet, but the ending season arrives in September, it is an order of magnitude colder already from the 10th (+ 24 ° C ... + 26 ° C during the day and + 22 ° C at night).

Where is the warmer sea in September?

Many tourists who go to Turkey in September for the first time wonder where the sea is warmer. The water temperature in any resort on the Anatolian coast is 100% suitable for swimming (on average, the water in the Mediterranean is + 28 ° C!).

On the Aegean coast, the holiday season continues, but for more staunch swimmers - by the end of September the temperature drops to + 24 ° C.

Prices for tours to Turkey in September - 2021

The closer the end of September, the cheaper the tours to Turkey.

We went to Turkey in September 2020. The tour was booked on an online aggregator (this time we chose Online Tours) because it is convenient: such services select offers from all leading tour operators and compare themselves where it is more profitable. Plus, they immediately tighten the rating and real reviews of tourists about hotels. The three largest aggregators are:

  • Travelata
  • Level.Travel
  • Onlinetours

✓ Turkey in September 2021 costs from 40,000 rubles for a tour for two for 7 nights. For such a price, a mediocre 3-star hotel in Kemer or Alanya awaits, but for outdoor activities - excursions, walks, cafes - this is a very option. 10 nights - from 50,000 rubles.

✓ A week in 4-5 stars for "all inclusive" - from 47,000 rubles for two.

✓ A good five-star at the beginning of September - from 70,000 rubles, and at the end - already from 60,000. Keep in mind!

✓ Family vacation for three (mom, dad, child aged 2+) will cost from 60,000 rubles for 7 nights.

Where is the best place to relax in Turkey in September? Resort selection

The most popular resorts are located at a relatively short distance, but differ from each other. Each includes the city of the same name - so to speak, the center of all life, and the adjacent villages - more peaceful and expensive.

  • Side is equally European and Russian resort. We liked our beaches, ideal for children, wide and with a smooth sunset, historical ruins, as if in Greece, and less annoying Turks. In Side, the chances of running into a bug hotel, as in Kemer, are lower, and the sea is not as muddy as in Belek, where the sand has a slightly grayish tint.
Tours - from 43,000 rubles for two per week
  • Antalya is a city close to the airport, large and bustling, with many cheap unremarkable city hotels, but sandy beaches. It is convenient to get to any of the following resorts from the local bus station. What if you get bored of sitting in a hotel? This is how we went to Alanya and Kemer.
Tours - from 40,000 rubles for two per week
  • Belek is a sandy beach, golf courses, relative proximity to the airport. It is considered the most expensive resort in Turkey with 5-star luxury hotels (but you can also find economy options). The best water park in Turkey, The Land of Legends, is also located here.
Tours - from 55,000 rubles for two per week
  • Kemer is a transparent sea surrounded by mountains, pebble beaches, pine groves and many Russians. And all because there are a lot of budget "three rubles", where cheap vouchers are sold. The city of Kemer itself is more for young people - you know, nightclubs, funny Turks, but the nearest villages (Kirish, Tekirova) are for a quiet holiday with your family.
Tours - from 38,000 rubles for two per week

We went to Kemer on our own for 1 day

  • Bodrum is already on the Aegean Sea. This is another Turkey, "saturated with European culture." A kind of mixture of Kemer (discos, youth) and Belek (expensive hotels). Bodrum is much closer to Pamukkale (6 hours from the Mediterranean resorts!) And the Greek islands, which can be visited by making a single visa on the spot (35 euros).
Tours - from 50,000 rubles for two per week
  • Alanya is also an unassuming and budget place for a vacation, but the city of Alanya is large and interesting, in some places it reminded us of either Greece or Spain. The development of infrastructure is evidenced by the presence of Starbucks: there are only two of them on the Antalya coast (not counting Antalya). An important point: the beaches, although sandy, can be with a rocky entrance to the water (read the reviews carefully); and all of them - both in the city and in the villages - across the motorway.
Tours - from 37,000 rubles for two per week

And this is Fethiye. September is also very good here

Holidays in Turkey with children in September 2021

Turkey in September with children is a "mecca" of rest on the seashore. The velvet season, when there is no need to fear for burns or overheating, the warmest sea and gentle shores, where there is no crush and fight for sunbeds. There is simply no better time for a family vacation!

Where is the best place in Turkey with children in September? For relaxation, definitely choose the Anatolian coast. From resorts - Side, Belek or Alanya.

About all the other nuances of a trip to Turkey with a child - from prices for diapers and oversleeves to suitable ones with small excursions - read our separate material.

Entertainment in Turkey - what to do?

  • Everyone who has not been to The Land of Legends Park in Belek. It's like a huge fairytale castle from Disney cartoons or from 1001 Nights fairy tales. Here you can find surfing, an animal park, a water park, themed shows, and a boulevard with shops. We, adults 25+, really liked it! Ticket - $ 50 for an adult, $ 40 for a child. Excursion from Side / Alanya - $ 55-60.
  • Pammukale (cotton castle) and Cleopatra's pool are a thermal spring in the ancient city of Hierapolis in southwestern Turkey. The waters saturated with natural calcium come to the surface and form a unique snow-white landscape in the form of a cascade of baths decorated with stalactites. Excursion - from $ 45 per person. But the ride is 6 hours one way.
  • From Alanya you can sail to North Cyprus! Until October, there is a schedule of ferries carrying tourists on Thursdays and Sundays. Ticket - $ 60 round trip per person.
  • And, of course, general resort entertainment - hamam. Before the hike, I advise you not to burn in the sun, otherwise the sensations are not the most pleasant. Cost - $ 15-25.

Turkey in September - all inclusive

Turkey in September is a great time with good prices for an all inclusive holiday. Namely, for people who are used to calculating the budget and are not ready to overpay for the hype. Contrary to some reviews, the all inclusive program is not cut in September, it continues to operate to the maximum (for food and entertainment).

Extending your summer for another two weeks can be inexpensive and quite high quality. At the very least, bathing sea, bright sunshine and seasonal fruits are guaranteed.

Pros and cons of rest

Let's try to summarize and calculate the pros and cons of a holiday in September. So the pros of VS. minuses:

🙂 Fewer tourists
🙂 No suffocating heat
🙂 Decline of summer viruses and intestinal infections
🙂 Low prices even for the best hotels
🙂 Reduces the risk of aggressive exposure to active sun

🙁 Tired staff after the season
🙁 Deterioration of the room stock after the influx of tourists
🙁 Cooler sea (relevant for the Aegean coast)
🙁 Fewer flights

The pros outweighed the cons with a score of 6 - 4.
