To everyone who decided to take an excursion to Dalat in Vietnam called 'XQ Silk Factory', I recommend not to doubt your choice, you will learn not only a lot of useful things for your development, but also see amazing handmade paintings that cost several million dollars and which are already hanging from many of the celebrities bought here.
Such celebrities include Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and many other world stars who have already purchased handmade works, you can also buy such silk paintings in Dalat, from my group of tourists many ventured to buy, which cost them about $ 150-250 for a piece measuring 40cm by 70cm. On a tour of the silk factory, you can see not only paintings, but also amazing handmade dresses.
Employees of the enterprise can be seen at any time, they sit and work right in front of tourists, one of these workers can be seen in my photos a little below. Do you know how long it takes to weave such a picture measuring 30 by 40 centimeters? About 3 months of painstaking work, in my opinion $ 150 for such work will not be enough.
On that day, when visiting the factory, I managed to see the owner, or rather the owners of this enterprise, there are two - this is a wife and husband of Vietnamese origin who lived in Europe, but returned to their homeland, where they organized an enterprise with pure manual work, for which every day tourists come and are surprised at all the beauty that is exhibited in the halls of the factory. Unfortunately, his wife died many years ago, now the enterprise rests on his shoulders.
The owner himself does not really like to be photographed and in public. On the excursion, as soon as the tourists took out their cameras, he immediately disappeared from sight, but I still managed to take a couple of photos to show you who it was about.
In the photo below you can see what colors silk acquires after heat treatment with paints, after such processing the silk may not fade for many more years, or rather even a couple of decades. For clothes, a slightly lighter version of silk processing is used and after several washes the color is no longer so saturated.
But one of the exhibition halls, a lot of paintings are on display for tourists, each of these samples can be bought, but the prices are simply enormous, so tourists here only take pictures of everything.
At my workplace, I met one of the workers of the XQ factory in Dalat, at the moment she was working on the next piece, which she has been doing for a month and a half. In fact, factory workers spend about 10 hours or more in one working day here, but they get less than ‘pennies’ for it by our standards. The thing is that, unlike in Russia, people here work not for money, but for an idea.
In one of the courtyards of the enterprise, I came across an amazing character on the throne, who not only made a characteristic sound for a chicken, but also sat very calmly. When I even got very close, the chicken did not dare to run away, in my opinion the owner of this Vietnamese enterprise is obvious.
Such a shop is waiting for all tourists who decide to take an excursion to a silk factory in Dalat. I recommend going in and strolling through this small store as a curious tourist, but I don't recommend buying things, although they are of high quality, but the cost of one silk scarf here is about $ 150.
Want to know the cost of the painting below? 81 with a penny a million dong, if translated into dollars, then the price of such a copy will be 40 thousand dollars, a little expensive for me, but it is so beautiful and colorful that people with such money in their pockets will part very quickly.
As for the excursion to the XQ factory in Dalat, if you are resting in Nha Trang, I recommend going here from Nha Trang for two days, the price of such an excursion within the entire excursion program will be $ 180, or 3,800,000 dongs per adult. The price of a separate tour will be only $ 25 per person.
The entire enterprise consists of several premises, its territory is very large, there are shops, cafes and a restaurant, in general, it will not be difficult to spend a whole day here. If you decide to visit here without the participation of a group of tourists, then go on your own, otherwise you will be on a tight time frame.
