Find out what to see in the Olympic Park in Sochi. We will tell you what it looks like, what you can do there and whether tourists like it.
The Olympic Park in the Imeretinskaya Bay is the main attraction of the small resort. It was built from scratch, and before there were swamps and local gardens. And now the Olympic torch, the Fisht stadium, where the opening and closing of the games took place, and several ice arenas and palaces rise. They host concerts, hockey matches, the "New Wave" music competition, ice shows by figure skaters - for example, by Ilya Averbukh. You can even play curling with your friends! Find out the schedule of events and prices on the Olympic Park website.
The most interesting thing, in my opinion, is Formula 1 track, even tourists can ride there (as passengers, of course). Most are attracted by the light and music fountain, which is turned on at about 18:30 daily.
Even if you are far from sports, go to the Olympic Park once to see everything with your own eyes and form your own opinion. The fact is that the reviews about the park are polar - from enthusiastic to disappointed. I'll tell you right away that we didn't like it very much. Now the park looks like a huge empty area without navigation, and it is difficult to navigate in it. Although the huge space with ideal paths is a great place for cyclists. That's who there is expanse! There are also many scooters and rollerbladers in the park.
There is practically no shade in the park, and even in October it was hard for us to walk during the day. Come back after 4:00 pm otherwise just fry. In addition, the park looks more interesting in the evening, because the backlight turns on. See the best places to walk in Sochi.
What else to see? In addition to the Olympic facilities, the park has a Tesla Museum, a Leonardo Museum, a USSR Museum, a Museum of Retro Cars - both adults and children go there. But the most attractive place for tourists, of course, is the Sochi-Park amusement park.
